Client success persists through pandemic

Buying and selling property during a health pandemic sounds like a daunting task, one we have never experienced, but for this family it has been a surprisingly positive experience.

Greg and Bek (pictured), formerly of Old Beach, started their property search in 2019 and found the process of looking for a larger home for their family daunting to start with.

Greg said, “When we first started looking we were unsure of our budget for the next home and missed out on some properties because we had to sell our current home first.

“When we met Marc he was able to identify what we were looking for and was great at keeping in touch to let us know about suitable properties.”

Bek said, “We choose to sell our home before we bought so that we were ready to buy when the right property came along. Because Marc had been so helpful it was an easy choice for us.”

We started marketing Greg and Bek’s property in Old Beach in mid-March just as COVID-19 started to affect our daily lives in Tasmania. The pandemic meant we weren’t able to conduct a regular open home for the property.

We had to adapt to the current climate and schedule private inspections at the property.

After the first week on the market, they had competing offers on their home.

Bek and Greg were thrilled with their sale result, but they still had the task of finding the family home of their dreams.

We had a client who was starting to think about downsizing, so with the owners’ permission we showed Bek and Greg through prior to any marketing as the property ticked all the boxes on Bek and Greg’s wish list.

Bek and Greg were won over by the location and size of their home and a contract was agreed upon prior to any marketing.

It is great when we are able to matchmake our clients with the right homes, when we can not only help them sell but buy a home it is a very satisfying part of our jobs.

Bek and Greg are moving into their new home in June, and are looking forward to their bright future there.
